Good evening Directors,
I just wanted to let you know that I have spoken with Blaine from Brickman directly. I conveyed our wishes to update/upgrade our community and to protect the newly installed light poles from any damage from lawn mowers or weed wackers. I let him know that we would like to have an evergreen shrub and a hearty perennial flower planted around each pole with a mulch bed. We have decided on a coral bell leaf and boxwood shrub. As for the entrance, he expressed that the trees we have on the right side are deciduous and lose their leaves each year causing them to look unattractive during the winter months. I have requested that he suggest a hearty evergreen tree and/or shrub/hedge as well as perennial flowers that make our community entrance look bright and happy with rich color. Low maintenance is key as well. I also expressed that we would like to repuropse versus remove any healthy plant from our neighborhood. Finally, regarding the concern for the best time to plant the new foliage, he mentioned that it would be best to do so before the end of the month of May. He is actively working on a proposal.
I will keep you updated as to when the proposal is ready for review.
